I’ve been living in Vesterålen since 2000 and have worked in tourism ever since.
In Nyksund, I run the small and charming guesthouse Holmvik Brygge, which also includes a restaurant.Since completing my guide certification in 2007, I have also been the owner and operator of Discover Vesterålen – a guiding company offering mountain hikes, guided bus tours, and fully customized travel packages. I’m excited to now contribute my experience to Nordspor – and to help shape a company that provides answers to the many questions visitors have been asking us for years about Vesterålen and Lofoten.

I’m Jacqueline – a nature lover, story collector, and silversmith - Lofoten Jewelry.
For many years, I’ve lived and worked on an island in the Lofoten archipelago, where I run my own small silver workshop in an old barn. I’ve also worked as a guide for a long time – mainly across Lofoten and Vesterålen. Together with Veronika and Ssemjon , I brought a shared vision to life through Nordspor: To inspire people with the nature, culture, and real life of the North – far from clichés. As a guide, I share my knowledge of local history, what it means to live at the edge of the world, and my personal favorite places. What matters most to me is mindfulness, respect, and genuine encounters – with nature, with people, and with ourselves. Whether on a hike, during a workshop in Nyksund, or in a spontaneous conversation along the way. I look forward to showing you the Northern Norway I love – wild, quiet, surprising, and full of heart.
